See how AntiBedRot works

See how AntiBedRot notices likely phone-in-bed posture and gives you a moment to make a more conscious choice.

Why I made AntiBedRot

It started with someone I love.

My wife would often use her phone in bed to unwind, but somehow end up feeling more tired afterwards.

We wanted to create a small moment to pause and ask: “Is this actually helping me rest?”

That’s where AntiBedRot came from. It’s a simple reminder to pause, change your posture, and be a little more aware of how you’re spending your leisure time.

I built AntiBedRot thinking it would help other people.

Then I installed it on my own phone and realised… my mornings weren’t any different. I’d wake up and, almost without thinking, reach for my phone and start checking notifications in bed.

That was a bit of a wake-up call.

Sometimes, all we need is a small reminder to stop and notice what we’re doing. That’s what I hope AntiBedRot can do—for me, for you, and for the people we care about.

“No electrical system is perfect, yet they all work. All it takes is a little feedback.”

Ways to use AntiBedRot

Choose the kind of support that fits you.

Different people need different kinds of support. Start with what feels right for you—you can change your approach later.

More support can create more accountability, but the best choice is the one you can sustain.

Share with someone you care about

Share a gentler kind of accountability.

If someone you care about goes to bed to rest but ends up scrolling for hours, share AntiBedRot with them. It is not about controlling their phone use. It is a small nudge to help them choose the rest they intended to take.
