Privacy Policy
This policy explains how AntiBedRot collects, uses, discloses and protects information when you use the AntiBedRot Android application and this website.
Who we are
AntiBedRot is a habit and accountability application. For privacy questions or requests, contact antibedrot.og@gmail.com.
Information we collect
Account and profile information
When you sign in, we may process your account identifier, email address, display name and profile image. We also store your selected account mode, assigned service region and country code.
Habit, monitoring and progress information
We process selected current progress and support information needed to provide the app, including whether monitoring is active, Protected Time, Bed Use Time, consistency streaks, emergency-bypass activity, achievements and intervention events. Your seven-day Usage Trends history—including Screen Time, Calls/Meetings, Low Light and Charging—stays on your phone and is not uploaded as cloud history.
Partner and social information
If you use Partner Circle or social features, we process connection requests, linked account identifiers, display names, Partner actions, friend relationships, leaderboard information, nudges and the latest status-update time.
Device and technical information
We may process an Android device identifier to enforce the active-device state, an installation identifier, Firebase Cloud Messaging tokens for notifications, app version, timestamps, diagnostic information and referral-based Pro entitlement status. AntiBedRot does not include Firebase Analytics or upload a general history of app interactions. Firebase Crashlytics processes release crash, application-not-responding and limited technical failure reports, which can include stack traces, app and Android versions, device model and manufacturer, and required-sensor availability. AntiBedRot does not intentionally attach your account ID, email, raw sensor readings, screen contents, profile data or service password to Crashlytics reports.
Country and regional routing
You choose and confirm an account country during signed-in setup. It assigns the Google-managed service region for the account and provides country context such as flags and eligible benchmarks. AntiBedRot does not request precise or approximate Android location permission, read GPS coordinates, or automatically derive this choice from your current location.
Signals processed on your device
Orientation, ambient-light, screen, charging, casting and eligible foreground-app signals are evaluated on your device for bed-scrolling detection and suppression. Raw sensor readings, screen contents and foreground-app contents are not uploaded as part of the detection process.
AntiBedRot does not request access to your camera, microphone, messages or screen contents. It uses Android's system picker only when you choose a profile photo; it does not request broad photo-library access.
How we use information
- Provide monitoring, interventions, statistics, achievements and account restoration.
- Operate Partner Circle, social, notification and leaderboard features you choose to use.
- Prevent conflicting active-device sessions and protect account integrity.
- Maintain, troubleshoot and improve reliability and security.
- Apply and restore referral-based Pro access.
- Comply with law, enforce our policies and respond to valid requests.
What a connected Partner can access
A connected Partner can see your linked profile and public identity, whether monitoring is active or paused, the latest status time, Protected Time balance, consistency streak, today's Bed Use Time and a fresh-setup alert following reinstall or cleared app data. AntiBedRot does not reveal your Google account email to a connected Partner.
A Partner can start monitoring, apply a timed pause, request a status refresh, send a nudge and set or replace the service password. Partners cannot see your screen, messages, photos, camera, microphone or the contents of other apps. Either Partner can remove the connection.
Service providers and disclosure
We use service providers to operate AntiBedRot. They process information under their own terms and privacy commitments:
- Google Firebase and Google Cloud for authentication, databases, storage, server functions, crash and ANR diagnostics, integrity protection and notifications.
- Google Play for app distribution and integrity services.
We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect users or the service, or as part of a business transfer subject to appropriate safeguards. We do not sell personal information.
Data storage and international processing
Information is stored using Google-managed infrastructure. An account is assigned to a service region using its confirmed country code. Some control, authentication, messaging, diagnostic and support information may be processed outside that region by our providers.
Retention and deletion
We retain account information while your account is active and for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain security, resolve disputes and meet legal obligations. Retention periods may differ by data type and provider.
You can initiate account deletion in the app or use our account-deletion page. Following verification, we will delete or de-identify the account and associated personal data from active systems, except information we must retain for security, fraud prevention, financial recordkeeping or other legal reasons. Provider backups and logs may remain for a limited period before being overwritten.
Security
We use access controls, authenticated requests, encrypted network transport, Firebase security rules and integrity checks intended to protect information. No storage or transmission system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your choices
- You can use Individual mode without connecting a Partner.
- You can remove Partner and friend relationships.
- You can manage Android notification and special-access permissions in system settings.
- You can request access, correction or deletion by contacting us.
Children
AntiBedRot is not directed to children under 13, or the minimum age required to consent to data processing in their country. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children below the applicable age.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app or legal requirements change. We will publish the revised policy here and update its effective date. Material changes may also be communicated in the app or by another appropriate method.
